Born Rachel Meghan Markle, by an African American mother and a Caucasian father of whom parents by name Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle, who got married in 1979 and divorced in 1987 in which marriage, they produced Meghan now Duchess of Sussex on 19th May 2018.
Although, being a divorcee before she met Harry, after her split from Trevor Engleson an American film producer and literary manager, in a two-year marriage that lasted from 2011 to 2013 which produced no issue (child). It was also said that the two had been dating way back since 2004.
She now has a son Archie Harrison Mountbatten- Windsor whom she delivered in Portland hospital in London on the 6th of may, 2019 after her marriage to the prince the previous year.
She has always been one of the royals that sparks controversy in the media, ever since she became part of the royal family. maybe due to the fact that she was an American actress, her having a Black mother making her bi-racial (colored), her previous relationship status as a divorcee before her marriage to the Prince or her estranged father and older half sister who was said to have changed her last name from Grant to Markle after Meghan started dating Prince Harry.
It has come to public notice that the couple, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry, has not been happy with the royal family, considering their racist claims amidst other issues in which Meghan disclosed in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, that there were “concerns and conversations about how dark her son’s skin might be when he’s born.
The conversation around her son’s skin colour came up when Meghan told Oprah about how the royal family had made the decision not to give Archie a prince title and was referred to as Master Archie. meanwhile, she didn’t say who in particular that had made the comment about Archie’s skin colour, maybe to protect the person’s identity. besides that too, the baby Archie was also refused security.

Nevertheless, Prince William spoke out after Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
The Duke of Cambridge said that The Royals are ‘very much not a racist family’. It was also believed that he had defended Kate after Meghan had told Oprah in the tell-all interview, that Kate was actually the one who made her cry after they had an argument about flower girl dresses prior to her wedding to Prince Harry and that Kate also apologized after the incidence. but before now, it was speculated that “Meghan made Kate cry” which the media carried about and Kate allowed Meghan to get blamed and shamed for it without a budge.
